Dear Delegates and Faculty Advisors,

            I am excited and honored to welcome you to the first SEK International Model of the United Nations, to be held between August 20th and 21st at Cipreses, Curridabat -our school campus-.  For us, SEK-MUN, represents the achievement of unmeasurable effort, commitment and hard teamwork, with the main objective of providing delegates with a challenging, mind-changing  and innovative conference.

            For our first model, the SEK Family, has the mindset targeted to break boundaries, redefine the conference experience and work together with public and private schools to live, at its fullest, international diplomacy along with the United Nations values. Equally important, our greatest desire is to set an environment of knowledge exchange that allow us to grow as a team and delegates to leave our campus with a warm memory.

            Finally, the entire SEK Model of the United Nations 2016 staff is glad to help with any questions that might come up while preparing for the conference. At SEK we believe MUN is an educational opportunity that goes beyond the academics, it changes the perception of the world, invite students to face their fears, strengthening their capacities and creates friendships that last for ever and I sincerely hope you consider joining us through this journey!
